So the packing finished and we are ready to go, just the small matter of a leaking radiator to worry about - perhaps having a new central heating system fitted the week before the trip wasn't such a good idea! Although the benefit of central heating when we return in November will (I'm sure) outweigh the hassle of having to repaint the kitchen ceiling.
